EECA CAB – Community Advisory Board of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

A joint initiative of the two regional organizations, ITPCru and ECUO of PLWH aimed at improving interaction between the community of people living with HIV, and the pharmaceutical industry, facilitating communication on access to treatment.

It unites 14 countries of the region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine and Estonia).

The main goal of the EECA CAB is to improve access to HIV, Hepatitis C, and tuberculosis treatment in the countries of the region through community effort.


  • Provides an opportunity to meet others and discuss the problem of access to treatment with the heads and regional offices of the main drug producers
  • Offers community trainings on key topics (new drug development, procurement of drugs, registration of drugs, patents, clinical trials, etc.)
  • Serves as a platform for activists around the region to exchange experience in the field of public health
  • Supports country initiatives to expand access to treatment, and represents the interests of the community on the regional level
