The purpose of this project is to collect and analyze the most complete, accurate and current information about procurement of drugs for HIV treatment and related diseases. The project also focuses on development of recommendations to improve the procurement process, as well as prevention of unfounded regimen changes, interruptions in provision of drugs and drug deficits.
The main parameters that we monitor and analyze in this project:
- Volume of purchases
- Drug prices (and their current dynamics)
- Drug auction timetables and drug supply
- Manufacturers and distributors
If threats of interruptions in essential drug supplies and their shortage are detected, we make every effort to inform the authorities, both those who are responsible for the procurement process and the policymakers in the field of HIV. We publish the results of our work in reports and analytical notes on a regular basis. These can be found in the Materials section.
